OBJECTIVE
For the City Council to adopt a Proclamation recognizing November as Native American Heritage Month in Garden Grove.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the October 14, 2025 meeting, the City Council approved a request by Council Member Muñeton for a Proclamation recognizing November as Native American Heritage Month in Garden Grove, be listed for action at a subsequent meeting . This Proclamation recognizes and honors the history and culture of Native American communities throughout the country, and those who have called this region home including the Tongva, Acjachemen, and other Indigenous communities.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Adopt a Proclamation recognizing November as Native American Heritage Month in Garden Grove.
