Subject: Award contract to One Corp Striping Services, LLC for on-call street striping and sign installation services. (Cost: Not to exceed $300,000 per year) (Action Item)
OBJECTIVE
For City Council to award a contract to One Corp Striping Services, LLC. for the City’s on-call street traffic striping and sign installation program in an amount not to exceed $300,000 per year.
BACKGROUND
The Public Works Department utilizes on -call contract services to supplement the City’s signage and striping operations. With the current contract set to expire on December 31, 2025, staff solicited proposals from several contractors specializing in this type of work. These services are essential for maintaining the City’s street striping, curb markings , and sign maintenance. The City’s residential streets are divided into four (4) zones, with two (2) zones re-striped every other year using this service. Re-striping includes stop bars, crosswalks, lane markings, pavement legends and curb markings. In addition, th ese services enable staff to respond promptly to resident requests related to signage and striping.
DISCUSSION
Staff sent out six (6) requests for proposal s to signing and striping consultant firms and received four (4) proposals. A panel consisting of four staff members rated the proposals on the basis of qualifications, work plan, and references. Based on the evaluation results, One Corp Striping Services, LLC was rated the highest.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
The contract will establish a not-to-exceed amount of $300,000 per year for three (3) years with the option to extend the agreement for two (2) additional one-year (1) terms, resulting in a total potential performance period of five (5) years. Costs for this contract are included in the Traffic Engineering’s operating budget.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Award a contract to O ne Corp Striping Services, LLC. in the not -to-exceed amount of $300,000 per year for three (3) years with the option to extend the agreement to two (2), one-year (1) increments, for a total performance period of five (5) years;
Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute the agreement, and make minor modifications as appropriate thereto, on behalf of the City; and
Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute option term amendments and make minor modifications as appropriate thereto, on behalf of the City.
