Flower Street on Historic Main Street
Subject: Request for Flower Street on Historic Main 2026 Street Closure VSAS
November 8th, 2025
Dear Members of the City Council,
On behalf of VASOCAL, I respectfully request the City of Garden Grove's approval to host the annual Flower Street on Historic Main event for 2026.
VSASOCAL is proud to call Garden Grove home. Our organization is built on four core pillars:
preserving cultural heritage, empowering local businesses and community growth, connecting diverse cultures, and fostering an inclusive community for all. Over the years, we have successfully organized events that reflect these values-including our soccer tournaments, Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, and most notably, the yearly Flower Street event on Historic Main Street.
For Flower Street 2026, we propose the event dates of February 13-15, with operating hours from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM each day. We respectfully request street closure approval like the layout used for the Food of Garden Grove 2025 event, from Stanford Ave. & Main St. to the Garden Amphitheater entrance.
As in prior years, the event will feature our signature flower structures along Main Street, a small performance stage for entertainment, and vendor booths throughout the event footprint, including food vendors, sponsors, and a flower marketplace. A tentative layout has been included with this letter for your review.
Flower Street continues to be a meaningful community tradition - one that highlights Garden Grove's diversity, supports local businesses, and brings thousands of residents and families together each year.
We look forward to continuing that legacy in partnership with the city.
Thank you for your time and consideration. We are happy to answer any questions or provide additional information as needed.
Sincerely,
Guyal
