Subject: Acceptance of Project No. CP1268010 – Trask and Westhaven Reservoir/BPS SCADA Improvements Project, as complete. (Action Item)
OBJECTIVE
For the Garden Grove City Council to accept Project No. CP1268010 – Trask and Westhaven Reservoir / BPS SCADA Improvements Project as complete, and authorize the City Manager to execute the Notice of Completion of Public Improvements and Work.
BACKGROUND
In the 2020 the Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) Master Plan had identified a list of 22 projects to be implemented over a 5-year period with an overall estimated budget of $7.8 million, which includes design and construction.
Trask and Westhaven Reservoir / BPS SCADA Improvem ents Project is one of the projects identified which upgraded the SCADA software and hardware equipment to operate the Trask and Westhaven Reservoirs and Booster Pump Stations. This project consisted of demolishing and retrofitting Programmable Logic Contr oller (PLC) Control Panels, installation of new control panels, installation of new chemical dosing skids, replacement of select field instrumentation and valve controls, and replacement of engine control panels. New conduit, conductors, and junction boxes were also installed as indicated on the Drawings.
DISCUSSION
The contractor, LEED Electric, Inc., has completed this project in accordance with the plans, specifications and other contract documents.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact to ac cept Project No. CP1268010 – Trask and Westhaven Reservoir / BPS SCADA Improvements Project as complete . Retention will be release after recordation of the Notice of Completion with the County of Orange and expiration of the statutory period.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Accept Project No. CP1268010 - Trask and Westhaven Reservoir / BPS SCADA Improvements Project as complete, and authorize the City Manager , or designee, to execute the Notice of Completion of Public Improvement and Work; and
Authorize the Finance Director, or designee, to release the retention payment when appropriate to do so.
