AMENDMENT TO CITY MANAGER EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT TO THE CITY MANAGER EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT (“Amendment”) is made to be effective as of the 1st day of January 2026 (“Effective Date”), by and between the CITY OF GARDEN GROVE, a municipal corporation ("CITY") and LISA L. KIM (“EMPLOYEE”).
RECITALS
The following recitals are a substantive part of this Agreement:
1. CITY and EMPLOYEE previously entered into Employment Agreement (“Agreement”), dated February 28, 2023.
2. CITY and EMPLOYEE mutually desire to amend the Agreement to adjust the compensation and benefits of EMPLOYEE.
AGREEMENT
THE PARTIES MUTUALLY AGREE AS FOLLOWS:
1. Section 4.01(a) amended. Section 4.01 of the Agreement is hereby amended to read:
“As compensation for the services to be performed hereunder, EMPLOYEE shall receive an annual salary in the amount of Three Hundred Forty-Six Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-Three Dollars ($346,433.00).”
2. Section 5.01 amended. Section 5.01 of the Agreement is hereby amended to read:
“Except as otherwise specified in this Agreement, EMPLOYEE shall receive benefits in the same manner as Central Management Staff receives. In addition, the City shall contribute the annual maximum Deferred Compensation contributions allowed to the Employee’s 457(b) plan on pre-tax basis, paid by-weekly. EMPLOYEE will also receive a lump sum of 80 hours of vacation in March 2026, and every March thereafter.”
3. Section 6.01 amended. The first sentence of Section 6.01 is hereby amended to read:
“CITY agrees to annually budget and allocate sufficient funds for expenses of EMPLOYEE for membership, and necessary travel related expenses:”
2 4. Except as expressly amended pursuant to this Amendment or other resolution or written action of the City Council in open session, all other provisions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
