Subject: Adoption of a Proclamation recognizing April as Donate Life Month. (Action Item)
OBJECTIVE
For the City Council to adopt a Proclamation recognizing April as Donate Life Month in Garden Grove.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
April is recognized nationally as Donate Life Month to raise awareness about the critical need for organ, eye, and tissue donation and to encourage individuals to register as donors. The observance honors donors and their families, celebrates lives saved through transplantation, and highlights the importance of education and community engagement in increasing donor registration. Proclaiming April as Donate Life Month affirms the community’s commitment to supporting donation, recognizing the generosity of donors, and promoting opportuniti es to give the gift of life.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Adopt the Proclamation recognizing April as Donate Life Month in Garden Grove.
