OBJECTIVE
For the City Council to adopt a Proclamation celebrating April as Arab American Heritage Month in the City of Garden Grove.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Arab American Heritage Month is observed each April to recognize the history, culture, and contributions of Arab Americans to communities across the United States. Arab Americans represent a diverse community with roots in more than 20 countries in the Middle East and North Africa. The proposed proclamation recognizes these contributions and affirms the City of Garden Grove’s commitment to celebrating the diversity of its community.

There is no financial impact.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Adopt a Proclamation celebrating April as Arab American Heritage Month.
