OBJECTIVE
For the City Council to adopt a Proclamation celebrating May 3 -9, 2026, as National Small Business Week in Garden Grove.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
National Small Business Week is observed annually to recognize the important contributions of small businesses to the economy and local communities. In Garden Grove, small businesses play a key role in job creation, economic development, and neighborhood vitality.
Issuing this proclamation highlights the City’s commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs and encouraging residents to shop and support businesses within the community.

There is no financial impact.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Adopt a Proclamation celebrating May 3-9, 2026, as National Small Business Week in Garden Grove.
