OBJECTIVE
For the City Council to adopt a Proclamation celebrating May 2 -8, 2026, as Youth Week in Garden Grove.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks designates the first full week of May as Elks National Youth Week to recognize the contributions and achievements of young people. The City of Garden Grove participates annually by issuing a proclamation in support of local youth and encouraging community recognition of their role in shaping the future.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Adopt the proclamation celebrating May 2-8, 2026, as Youth Week in Garden Grove.
