OBJECTIVE
For the City Council to adopt a Proclamation recognizing May as Mental Health Awareness Month in Garden Grove.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Mental Health Awareness Month is observed each May to promote understanding of mental health and reduce stigma associated with mental health conditions. Many individuals experience mental health challenges, highlighting the importance of awareness, early intervention, and access to care. Issuing this proclamation affirms the City of Garden Grove’s commitment to supporting mental wellness and encouraging community dialogue and resources for residents.

There is no financial impact.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Adopt the Proclamation recognizing May as Mental Health Awareness Month in Garden Grove.
