Subject: Approval of Amendment No. 2 to the agreement with Z&K Consultants, Inc. for construction management services for the Woodbury Park Revitalization and Expansion Project. (Cost: $80,845)(Action Item)
OBJECTIVE
To request that the City Council approve Amendment No. 2, for an additional contract amount of $80,844.51, to the Agreement with Z&K Consultants, Inc. for construction management services for the Woodbury Park Revitalization and Expansion Project.
BACKGROUND
In November 2024, City Council approved the contract with Z&K Consultants, Inc. to provide construction management services for the Woodbury Park Revitalization and Expansion Project. The scope of work involves full -time construction administration, regular and specialty inspection during construction, assistance d uring pre -construction and project closeout phase, including project documentation.
During the preparation of the request for proposals for construction management services, the estimated time for construction of Woodbury Park to be completed had not been finalized.
The proposal received on behalf Z&K Consultants, for a total amount of $299,844, was to provide construction management services for a six -month period. In January 2026, City Council approved Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement with Z&K Consultan ts, Inc. for additional construction management services, and geotechnical and material testing services.
DISCUSSION
The construction period for the Woodbury Park Revitalization and Expansion Project has been extended due to unforeseen field conditions and approved change orders that have increased the overall construction schedule. As a result of these schedule extensions, additional construction management services are required to provide continued oversight, coordination, inspection, documentation, and support through project completion and closeout.

To ensure the project is completed successfully and all remaining construction activities, punch list items, final inspections, and closeout requirements are properly managed, it is necessary to amend the existing contract. The attached Amendment No. 2 will provide the additional time and funding needed to maintain construction management support throughout the extended construction period.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The additional funding amount of $80,844.51 is a vailable in Woodbury Park construction budget, utilizing Park Fee Funds. The total cost for construction management services for the Woodbury Park Revitalization Project will be $589,296.51. No additional appropriations is needed to execute Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement with Z&K Consultants, Inc.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Approve Amendment No. 2 for an additional contact amount of $80,844.51, to the agreement with Z& K Consultants, Inc. for the additional construction management services for the Woodbury Park Revitalization and Expansion Project, resulting in a updated contract amount of $589,296.51; and Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to sign and execute the Amendment on behalf of the City, including making minor modifications as appropriate and necessary.
