OBJECTIVE

For the City Council to accept the Clean California Medal of Honor Bike and Pedestrian Trail (CAMOH) Outdoor Fitness Equipment Installation Project, Project No. GT1408000, as complete and authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute the Notice of Completion of Public Improvement and Work.

BACKGROUND

In February 2024, the City Council approved participation in the Clean California Local Grant Program and accepted $441,000 in grant funding to enhance public spaces and promote community health. The grant funds were allocated for improvements along the Medal of Honor Bike and Pedestrian Trail, including the installation of outdoor fitness equipment, trail furnishings, bike racks, litter abatement signage, and landscaping enhancements.

In August 2025, the City Council authorized the purchase of outdoor fit ness equipment and site furnishings from Greenfields Outdoor Fitness, Inc. To support the installation of the equipment, the City subsequently contracted with SAVI Construction Inc. to construct the required concrete pads at designated locations along the trail. Upon completion of the concrete pads, the outdoor fitness equipment was installed, completing the Clean California Medal of Honor Bike and Pedestrian Trail Project.

DISCUSSION

The project has been completed on schedule and within budget. The completed scope of work included:
 Construction of concrete pads along the four (4) segments of the Medal of Honor Bike and Pedestrian Trail;
