Subject: Consideration of a written request from the City of Stanton for co-sponsorship of the rental fees and permission to use the Showmobile outside city limits on September 10-14, 2026. (Cost: $1,050)(Action Item)
OBJECTIVE
To transmit a letter on behalf of the City of Stanton requesting co-sponsorship of the rental fees and approval for use of the Showmobile outside of Garden Grove city limits for the period of September 10-14, 2026.
BACKGROUND
The City of Stanton is submitting a co -sponsorship request on behalf of St. Polycarp Catholic Church for the annual St. Polycarp Family Festival scheduled on September 11, 12, and 13. The City of Stanton approved the request from St. Polycarp at their regular meeting on May 12, 2026.
DISCUSSION
The City of Stanton, on behalf of St. Polycarp Catholic Church, requests City Council approval for co-sponsorship of the facility rental fees for use of the Showmobile from 9:00 am on September 10, 2026 to 10:00 am on September 14, 2026. Additionally, the City of Stanton is requesting authorization for the Showmobile to be used outside of Garden Grove city limits, in accordance with the Showmobile General Use Policies.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The cost to co -sponsor the dates requested for use of the Showmobile by a non -profit organization is $350 daily fee, for a total amount of $1,050.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Consider the co-sponsorship request from the City of Stanton on behalf of St.
Polycarp Catholic Church, for a waiver of the facility rental fees associated with the use of the Showmobile from September 10 -14, 2026, and authorization to allow the Showmobile to be used outside of Garden Grove city limits.
