SPECIAL MEETING: GLENDALE CITY COUNCIL

The Special Meeting of the Glendale City Council convened in the Council Chambers, in said City, at 3:05 p.m. on the above date, pursuant to a call for such meeting signed by the City Clerk of the City Council, and on file with the City Clerk, a copy of which is as follows:

A SPECIAL PUBLIC MEETING of the City Council is hereby called to meet at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in the Council Chamber, 613 E. Broadway, 2nd Floor, Glendale, CA 91206 to consider the following item(s) of business, to wit;
1. Libraries, Arts, and Culture, re: City-Wide Public Art Artsakh Avenue Ground level Sculpture Public Art Piece
a. Motion authorizing the City Manager, or a designee, to enter into an Agreement for Commission of Artwork— subject to approval by the City Attorney— with Forma Studio, in an amount not to exceed $100,000 dispersed from the Urban Art Fund, to design, fabricate, and install a public art piece entitled, “Tamit Gohar,” for the Artsakh Avenue Ground level Sculpture Public Art Piece
2. Libraries, Arts, and Culture, re: City-Wide Public Art Landmarks - Artsakh Avenue Gateway Public Art Piece
a. Motion authorizing the City Manager, or a designee, to enter into an Agreement for Commission of Artwork— subject to approval by the City Attorney— with Paul Cocksedge Studio, in an amount not to exceed $550,000 dispersed from the Urban Art Fund, to design, fabricate, and install a public art piece entitled, “Curtain,” for the Artsakh Avenue Gateway Public Art Piece
Written Notice of said meeting was given, which Notice consisted of a copy of the foregoing Call, and was served on each Member of the Council not joining in the Call, and upon the in said City not less than 24 hours before the time fixed in said Call for said meeting, as follows:
