MOTION
Moved by Council Member ___ A_s_a _try.,,_a_n __________ , seconded by Council Member Brotman , that the Council of
the City of Glendale hereby:
1. Accepts grant funds from the State of California, Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, State Apprenticeship Expansion, Equity, and Innovation Grant (SAEEI) in the amount of $592,000 from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2025 to implement the expansion of Early Care & Education Registered Apprenticeship program;
2. Approves the award of SAEEI grant funds to the ECEPTS program, a project of The Tides Center, in the amount of $532,800 from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2025 and to College & Career Engagement LLC, in the amount of $10,000 from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2025, as approved and recommended by the Verdugo Workforce Development Board (VWDB); and
3. Authorizes the City Manager, or a designee, to execute all agreements, certifications, and documents necessary to accept and implement the funding Vote as Follows:
