I. Introductions
A. Chair Ara Aslanian welcomed the board and thanked them for joining the special meeting, which was being held to approve consent items.
II. Minutes of September 26, 2023 and November 01, 2023 A. Minutes presented and reviewed. MOTION: Steve Kaplan 2 nd: Veronica Romero Action: APPROVED
III. Action Items
A.Approval of the recommendation for Sonya Kay Blake to be appointed to the Verdugo Workforce Development Board, in compliance with State and Federal requirements under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 B.Approval to accept Broad Foundation funds in the total amount of $600,000 for up to three years, to continue the implementation of the BioTC project and approval to enter into contract with Biocom California Institute and a consultant as required by the grant to assist in achieving contractual goals
C.Approval to authorize the release of a Request for Proposals soliciting services to utilize Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act funding for the One-Stop Operator for Program Year July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 subject to renewal through June 30, 2026 and a one year extension through June 30, 2027
