by Council Member , that the Council of the City of
Glendale finds that, Pest Options, Inc., has provided the lowest responsive bid, and they are a responsible bidder, for the Weed Controls Services for the City of Glendale Project, as described in Specifications No. 3983, and that the bid of Pest Options, Inc., for the amount of $684,000 is hereby accepted and approved, as recommended by the Interim Director of Public Works, and that all other bids be, and are, hereby rejected. The Council authorizes the City Manager or his designee to execute a three-year maintenance contract, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney, with Pest Options, Inc., in the amount of $684,000. The Council further approves a 10% reserve for contingencies in the amount of $68,400. The Council further approves two one-year optional extensions for $228,000 plus a 10% contingency of $22,800 each year or $501,600 total inclusive of contingency.
