Dear Messrs Golanian and Hernandez,
On April 8, 2024 I sent Mr. Golanian an email requesting the name change of my company from Southland Disposal Company to Southland Environmental Services, Inc. Southland Disposal was established as a sole proprietorship on October 1, 1971. Since that time my company has evolved into more than simply a hauling company. Southland Environmental Services, Inc was created in 2017.
I am asking for Council to confirm the name change and to give consideration of the $50,000 fee which is based on a sale or transfer of company assets to others. I am the sole stock holder of Southland Environmental Services, Inc. and have no intention of any sale or transfer of assets. I am asking for a fair cost for this name change to subsidize the City's administrative costs.
Upon Council approval, Southland Disposal Company will assign all of its rights, duties and obligations under the Glendale Franchise Agreement to Southland Environmental Services, Inc.
