M O T I O N
Moved by Council Member , seconded by Council Member , that the Council hereby declares the following regarding the Boards and Commissions established under Title 2 of the Glendale Municipal Code (“Title 2 Boards and Commissions”):
a. Pursuant to the Glendale Municipal Code, 1995, all of the members of all Title 2 Boards and Commissions are hereby removed, the removal of each member being effective upon the reappointment or replacement of such member. In removing all of the members of all Title 2 Boards and Commissions, the Council finds that the best interests of the City will be served so that the Council can implement its new nomination and selection procedure adopted via Resolution No. ______. b. The applications of the current members, as well as other applications, on file in the City Clerk’s office may be considered for nomination and appointment/reappointment by the Council. Advertisements, applications, nominations and appointments shall be made in accordance Resolution No. _______. c. Any member of a Title 2 Board or Commission sitting on such a board or commission prior to removal pursuant to this motion who is reappointed through the process outlined in the Report to Council dated July 16, 2024 shall be deemed to be continuing the term upon which they were serving, the Council finding that it is in the best interests of the City to do so.
