MOTION
Moved by Commissioner Zadorian, seconded by Commissioner Tufenkian, that the Arts and Culture Commission hereby recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager, or a designee, to enter into an Agreement for Commission of Artwork with an artist/artist team to design, fabricate, and install a public art piece for the Montrose Circular Benches in an amount not to exceed $300,000 dispersed from the Urban Art Program Fund, as more fully outlined in the June 20, 2024 Report by the Library, Arts & Culture's Principal Arts & Culture Administrator:
First Recommendation: Kassia Rico, for the artwork entitled, "Our Garden Spot." Alternate Recommendation: Sage Vaughn, for the artwork entitled, "Wildflowers and Butterflies."
