The Special Public Meeting of the Glendale City Council convened in the City Hall Council Chambers, in said City, at 3:22 p.m., on the above date, pursuant to a call for such meeting signed by the City Clerk of the City Council, and on file with the City Clerk, a copy of which is as follows:

A SPECIAL PUBLIC MEETING of the City Council is hereby called to meet at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, in the Council Chamber, 613 E. Broadway, 2nd Floor, Glendale, CA 91206 to consider the following item(s) of business, to wit;
1.Community Development, re: Acceptance of state funds from the State of California Governor’s Office of Economic Development; and Authorization to Negotiate with Up to Two Tech Startup Growth Program Proposer(s) to Develop and Implement the Startup Growth Program(s)
a.Motion approving acceptance of state funds in the amount of $1,000,000 from the State of California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-BIZ) b.Resolution of Appropriation in the amount of $1,000,000 for the Glendale Tech Startup Growth Program(s)
c.Motion authorizing the City Manager or designee to negotiate and execute professional services agreements and all related documents with FoundersBoost and SmartGateVC LLC for the operation and program management of Tech Startup Growth Programs located in Glendale
