Subject: Raising of Glendale Water & Power rates
I am here to complain about the Raising of Glendale Water & Power rates. I called the GW&P line and when your representative told me the rates have gone up 70% in one year I was/am livid. Where is that money going?
What I would like answered:
• Where is the raised money going to and can we get proof of expenditures? How can you raise the rate - and almost double it - without it being on the ballot for the residence to approve or shoot down?
• How do we change this ability of the council to raise rates without the publics feedback?
• How would I go about petitioning the council to reduce this amount? My bill is almost $1,000 and that is with me using about the same energy as last year.
• My last bill was for $587.85; this bill is for $949.62. Almost doubled in two months!
