Dear Council members,
I hope you are all well in this difficult time.
I’m writing to voice my support for the Human Relations Committee and ideally its expansion to include even more representative voices from the committee. The issues of division, polarization, discrimination and intolerance have clear and layered negative effects on our community and the city should be proactive in efforts to identify causes and work toward solutions. Key to this process are groups like the HR committee, especially when they are empowered to include diverse perspectives and underrepresented demographics.

Thank you for your updates during the recent wildfires. As winds pick up again today, I wish you and yours safety. I understand the City Council meeting will be postponed to next Tuesday. That makes sense. Again, please stay safe.
When you do meet, please count me as a community member completely in favor of the restarting of the City of Glendale's Human Relations Committee. This was and can be an important avenue for community members, city employees, and city electeds to frankly address matters imperative to the growth of a city of Glendale for all.
