Application for Appointment to City Commission for CDBG Advisory Committee Part VI. (B)
I admire all the strides the committee has made in addressing issues that affect our community, including children and education, arts preservation and those at a financial disadvantage.
My goal would be to bring a different perspective to the table in trying to tackle some of the new challenges that has arisen for last decade.
With more technology advances I am hoping we can come cross and supporting companies who can use this to our advantage and enhancing better leaving, better leaving for individuals in need of affordable housing, environmentally better schools, parks, recreation centers, youth centers, over all education centers and yes why not museums, better programs for special needs individuals of all ages, more places and activities to keep the youth off the streets and more involved to show them to be our future leaders and commissioners.

Goals/Issues
While keeping an eye towards Glendale's long term growth and development, the Commission can still focus on maintaining the area's cultural fabric and unique identity. This means advocating for smart growth and honing in on developments that specifically retain and improve upon Glendale's biggest strengths: safety, expansive amenities, convenient access, etc.
My goals, if appointed, include:
- Implementing public policy that would further advance the city's long term growth and stability while preserving Glendale's unique neighborhoods • Improve upon Glendale's current office space offerings in an effort to bring in large-scale employers (with a successful recent example being, CBRE) • Add experiential retail options to make the area more attractive to young individuals living in other parts of Los Angeles
• Improve Glendale's job/housing balance to increase the amount of people who work and live in the city
- Work with fellow commissioners and staff to address concerns regarding overdevelopment, traffic and environmental impacts by using best practices and design More seamlessly connect Glendale to Atwater Village, especially as the LA River continues to improve and draw in tourists and local visitors
