Glendale has become a less and less livable city since climate efforts have accelerated over the last 5+ years or so. As a longtime resident who has a vested interest in seeing my city succeed, I see my responsibility as balancing art and commerce: the art of creating a climate-friendly city, together with the commerce of small and large businesses, and a working and commuting public. The infrastructure must FIRST support any climate related changes we make, and not be treated as an afterthought that what makes life increasingly comfortable for the majority of residents who live and pay taxes in the City. I will listen to all sides of the argument, as an environmentally-minded person who also has a healthy dose of common sense -- and ultimately, will help bring to the fore ideas that serve the majority of residents of Glendale.
