The project will ensure that the restrooms comply with Title 24 regulations and American with Disabilities (ADA) accessibility standards, making them more inclusive and user-friendly for individuals with disabilities. The intent of this item is for the City Council to adopt the project specification and authorize the City Clerk to advertise for bids.

RECOMMENDATION
Approve the Resolution to adopt the specification for the Babe Herman Restroom Renovation Project, Specification No. 3978; and direct the City Clerk to advertise for bids.

ANALYSIS
The Babe Herman Little League Field was built in 1953 across the street from Verdugo Park on Cañada Boulevard, on city property with funding and labor supplied by the Little League. In 1986, the Verdugo Little League Field was renamed for Floyd (Babe) Herman, who played high school baseball at Glendale Union High before embarking on a long professional baseball career beginning in 1921 that included multiple stints with the Dodgers. The objectives of the Babe Herman Restroom Renovation Project are to reconfigure and remodel the site to improve accessibility and renew interior and exterior finishes.
