Dear Honorable Members of the Glendale City Council,
I am writing to respectfully request a vaiver of rental fees for the use of the Alex Theatre on Friday, May 16th, 2025, for a special benefit concert in support of the Artsakh State Dance Ensemble. This event marks a significant milestone as the ensemble will be holding their inaugural concert in the United States, and the proceeds will go toward supporting the group's continued mission of preserving the cultural heritage of Artsakh.

The Artsakh State Dance Ensemble, based in Armenia, has become a symbol of resilience and cultural preservation, even in the face of adversity and displacement. Despite the challenges they have encountered, including the difficult circumstances surrounding the region of Artsakh, these dancers have continued to perform ard showcase the rich heritage of their homeland. Thanks to the support of donors like you, Armen a Fund has helped sustain this remarkable group, providing employment for over thirty dancers and their families, offering them stability and nope.

This benefit concert is an opportunity to bring the community together to suppor. these talented artists. By attending the concert, guests will experience an extraordinary performance and contribute directly to the continued employment of the dancers. Every ticket purchased helps fund their work and ensures the preservation of Artsakh's cultural legacy for future ger erations.

The Artsakh State Dance Ensemble has already gained international recognition through their tours in Armenia, Russia, and Europe, earning prestigious awards at dance festivals. Their upcoming performance in Glendale will be a powerful testament to their dedication, passior, and resilience in preserving their unique cultural identity.

Given the charitable nature of this event, I kindly ask for the City's support in waiving the rental fees for the Alex Theatre. This gesture would significantly contribute to the success of the concert and demonstrate the City's commitment to fostering cultural exchange and supporting the arts.

I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this request further and provide any additional details you may need. Thank you for your time and corsideration. I look forward to your positive response and to working together to support this meaningful cultural event.
