MOTION
Moved by Council Member , seconded by
Council Member , that the Council of the
City of Glendale hereby:
1. Approves submission of the Verdugo Workforce Development Board’s (“VWDB”) FY 2025-2026 and FY 2026-2027 application to the Governor, State Workforce Development Board and Employment Development Department for local area subsequent designation and local board recertification, as more particularly described in the report of the Director of Community Services and Parks dated May 13, 2025; and
2. Authorizes the Mayor, City Manager, or a designee to execute all agreements, amendments, certifications, and documents necessary to effectuate:
A. VWDB’s local area subsequent designation and local board recertification; and
B. VWDB’s implementation of Career Services to residents and businesses in the Verdugo Workforce Development Area.
