Moved by Council Member ,
seconded by Council Member , that the Council of
the City of Glendale finds that, ARC Construction, Inc., has submitted the lowest responsive bid, and they are a responsible bidder, for the Preservation and Reuse of the Former Rockhaven Sanitarium Project, as described in Specification No. 4004, and that the bid of ARC Construction, Inc., including the base bid and Alternates 1 & 2, for the amount of $6,730,025, is hereby accepted and approved, as recommended by the Director of Public Works, and that all other bids be, and are, hereby rejected. The Council authorizes the City Manager or his designee to execute a contract, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney, with ARC Construction, Inc., in the amount of $6,730,025.
The Council further approves a reserve for contingencies in the amount of $673,000.
