A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE, CALIFORNIA ADOPTING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT’S REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
FOR JAIL MEDICAL SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR PROPOSALS
WHEREAS, in 2014, the City Council authorized the Glendale Police Department (GPD) to enter into a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) for professional medical services for arrestees and inmates in the GPD jail; and WHEREAS, that PSA was extended three times, with the current PSA expiring in Jule of 2026; and
WHEREAS, the first contract was entered into as a pilot program; and WHEREAS, GPD now seeks to issue a Request for Proposals for jail medical services; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Glendale as follows:
SECTION 1. The Request for Proposals for Jail Medical Services as presented to the Council on November 4, 2025, its specifications and the various documents incorporated therein is approved and adopted.
SECTION 2. By this Resolution, the City Clerk shall advertise for proposals.
SECTION 3. In accordance with the RFP’s selection procedures, the Chief of Police shall prepare a report to the City Council with recommendations regarding the most qualified proposer for its deliberation and decision on awarding the Jail Medical Services contract.
SECTION 4. This Resolution takes effect immediately upon its adoption.
