o
The Kid’s Community Dental Clinic is an incredible organization that has provided so many services to the patient population in Glendale. The CDBG funding recommendation will provide much needed financial assistance to allow KCDC to establish itself as a pillar within Glendale to provide essential dental treatment and dental education to low-income families in the Community. We thank you for funding this incredible Project.
o The Kid’s Community Clinic is grateful for funding and the welcome by the City of Glendale that allows us to expend to help more children.
We have been supported by the City of Glendale Community Services and Parks Department as well as encouraged by the CDBG advisory Committee members who are each professional and supportive of all the applicants. Thank you for your professionalism for fundings approvals. o As the Former Manager of the YMCA Hotel, this money will be put to great use. 30 people per floor use this 100-year-old Building’s Bathrooms.
The improvements will seriously improve the lives of the current Residents.
o Verdugo Hills Council, Scouting America is grateful to Partner with CDBG.
The grants allow our organization to serve all youth and keep them safe at our new home so we can enrich their lives. Having gate and fencing and stairs will allow us to have outdoor activities without worrying. Maggie and her team do a wonderful presentation to share the information to everyone.
o Verdugo Hills Council Scouting America (BSA) has served youth in the City of Glendale for over 100 years. In addition to serving youth, it serves as the youth leadership program for multiple non profit organizations in Glendale including public and private schools. Homenetmen and others.
Our new location at 421 N Glendale Ave is in need of a security gate and securing outdoor stairs to assist with protecting all youth and building from breaking and trespass by unhoused citizens in our community. o CDBG funding will allow us to focus on general funding an serving our at risk youth in lieu of capital improvements.
o The Armenian Society of LA has a very productive Project and the Community will profit enormously provided that it serves to the Purpose.

EMAIL COMMENT:
Hello,
I am a Glendale resident and had a chance to review the 2026-2027 CBDG plan and wanted to endorse perhaps moving some of th e money away from certain programs to help fund the request from Ascencia Mental Health Ser
vices.
I don't see why we would need to give a full $65,000 to the Armenian Relief Society of Western USA, Inc. It feels more appropriate to give them a bit less to help fund Ascencia which is doing great work for getting homeless people off of our streets.
And $30,000 to the Fishes and Loaves Catholic church progr am also seems excessive when the Catholic Church receives massive tax breaks from the federal government. I am Catholic and think this charity does great work, however they do NOT need $30k.
The Glendale Youth Alliance seems to be a redundant grant as well . There are several grants already going towards the schools and youth.
Is it too late to move some of these funds around? What is the process for changes? Exhibit 3
