1 ADVERTISING AGREEMENT CONTRACT
THIS AGREEMENT is made as of the 1st day of July 2026 by and between Civic News Group, Inc, DBA Glendale Independent, a California Corporation, hereinafter designated as the “Publisher”, and the CITY OF GLENDALE, a municipal corporation, hereinafter designated as the “City”.
1. For the hereinafter-mentioned consideration, the Publisher agrees to publish in Civic News Group, Inc. DBA GLENDALE INDEPENDENT, a newspaper of general circulation printed, published and circulated in the City of Glendale, such official advertising of the City of Glendale as its City Council may direct to be published in a newspaper of general circulation, for a period beginning on the 1st day of July, 2026, and ending on the 30 th day of June, 2027 and for such reasonable period of time thereafter as may be necessary for the City to consummate a new contract for such advertising.
2. Publisher agrees that all such advertising shall be done in accordance with Specification No.4054 for legal advertising in the City of Glendale, which specification is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale. Said specification is by this reference incorporated herein and made a part of this contract.
3. Publisher agrees to deliver, on the day of issue, without extra charge therefore, thirty (30) copies of each issue of said paper, with inserts, during the period covered by this Contract, to be distributed to the following departments of the City of Glendale: to wit:
At the City Hall – 6 copies
2 – City Manager
1 – City Clerk
2 – City Attorney
1 – Parks
At the Municipal Services Building – 12 copies
2 – Public Works Administration
1 – Permit Services
3– Community Development
1 – Zoning
2 – Engineering Section
1 – Traffic and Transportation
1 – Fire Chief
1 – Building Inspection
At the Perkins Building – 7 copies
1 – Director of Finance
1 – City Treasurer
1 – GWP Administration
1 – Commercial Operations Supervisor
2 – Community Development (Housing)
1 – Purchasing
At the Office of the Chief of Police – 5 copies
2 Additionally, the contractor shall provide, without extra charge, unlimited access to archives of past publications (archived publications) whether internet, web-based or otherwise. If internet or web-based, contractor shall provide a password or passcode, if needed, to the City Clerk, City Attorney and City Manager to permit access to the archived publications during the period covered by the contract.
4. The City agrees to pay to the Publisher, and the Publisher agrees to accept the sum of Two Dollars and Forty Cents ($2.40) per lineal inch of column one and one-half (1-1/2) inches wide for the first insertion of any said advertising, and Two Dollars and Forty Cents ($2.40) per lineal inch of column one and one-half (1-1/2) inches wide for the second and each subsequent insertion of the same advertising, which prices include the furnishing by the Publisher of two (2) printed copies of all advertising as provided in said specification.
The parties hereto have executed this Agreement as of the day and year first above written.
