EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
A motion is presented for Council's consideration to award a contract for Legal Advertising for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 to of general circulation which shall be published in the City of Glendale, according to Article VI Section 11 of the Glendale City Charter.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a Motion awarding the contract for Legal Advertising for the City of Glendale for FY 2026-2027 to Civic News Group, Inc.
ANALYSIS
In accordance with Article VI, Section 11 of the City of Glendale Charter, the City Council shall annually call for bids for all official advertising of the city, pursuant to specifications. which was first approved by the City Council
On June 9, 2026, the City Council approved Specification No. 4054 for the FY 2026-2027 Legal Advertising contract and directed the City Clerk to advertise for bids.
One bid was received on July 1, 2026, from Civic News Group, at $2.40 per lineal inch for the first insertion and $2.40 for each subsequent insertion.
The purpose of this report is to seek Council’s approval to award the contract for Legal Advertising for the City of Glendale for FY 2026-2027 as they are the sole bidder.

FISCAL IMPACT
The amount of $60,000 for legal advertising has been included in the FY 2026-27 budget, as outlined in the following table.
