CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Davis called the SPECIAL MEETING of the City Council of the City of Glendora to order at 5:00 p.m. and announced that due to technical difficulties; the meeting could not be streamed through the City’s website and would be streamed via the City's YouTube channel and Zoom Communications.

Staff members present: City Manager Adam Raymond, Library Director Janet Stone, Digital Media Specialist Craig Gill, Senior Digital Media Specialist Greg Morton, Administrative Assistant Lorena Cordova, and Deputy City Clerk/Records Manager Elvia Dominguez
PUBLIC COMMENT
Mayor Davis opened the public comment period and inquired if any requests had been received to provide public comment. There were no written correspondence and/or request from participants wishing to provide comment; therefore, Mayor Davis closed the public comment period.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Conduct interviews and appoint applicants to fill expiring vacancies on City Council appointed Boards/Commissions for terms that expire on June 30, 2022 (Office No. 1 term:
July 1, 2022).
RECOMMENDATION: 1. Conduct interviews and appoint a representative to fill expiring vacancy on Board of Library Trustees.

Immediately following interviews, Mayor Davis announced nominations are now in order and requested nominations:
Mayor Pro Tem Boyer nominated Christine Brodeur.
An oral roll call vote was taken, and the motion failed 1 - 4 as follows: AYES: Gary Boyer NOES: Michael Allawos, David J. Fredendall, Mendell Thompson, and Karen K. Davis; ABSENT: (None); ABSTAIN: (None).
City Manager Raymond recommended that candidates be nominated by motion and the first to receive a majority vote would be appointed to fill one remaining vacancy.
A motion was made by Council Member Allawos, seconded by Council Member Fredendall to appoint Carrie Ann Johnson.
An oral roll call vote was taken, and the motion carried 5 - 0 as follows: AYES: Michael Allawos, David J. Fredendall, Mendell Thompson, Gary Boyer, and Karen K. Davis NOES:(None); ABSENT: (None); ABSTAIN: (None).
Deputy City Clerk/Records Manager Dominguez announced that Carrie Ann Johnson was appointed by acclamation to fill the vacancy in Office No. 1 for a three-year term starting July 1, 2022.
Mayor Davis thanked applicants and congratulated Ms. Johnson.
