Mayor Davis called the SPECIAL MEETING of the City Council of the City of Glendora to order at 5:00 p.m.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Conduct interviews and appoint applicants to fill unscheduled vacancies on City Council appointed Planning and Water Commissions
RECOMMENDATION: 1) Provide direction on appointing applicants to fill vacancies.
The City Council interviewed the following candidates:
Time Applicants Commission
5:00 pm Holmes, Michael Water Commission
5:10 pm Faber, Brian Planning Commission
5:20 pm Keating, Kurt Planning Commission
5:30 pm Cici, Pat Water Commission
5:50 pm Jones, Samuel Planning Commission
A staff report was presented by Deputy City Clerk/Records Manager Dominguez, which included an announcement that prior to the interviews a notification was received by applicant Randy Schlosser to withdraw his application. In addition, a notification was received by Water Commissioner Armel that due to changes in his work commitments, he would no longer be able to serve on the Water Commission which left two applicants to fill the two unscheduled vacancies on the Water Commission. Since the number of applications equaled the number of vacancies Deputy City Clerk/Records Manager Dominguez requested that the City Council waive the formal nomination City of Glendora Minutes

process for the Water Commission and appoint Michael Holmes and Pat Cici to fill vacancies in the Water Commission, with both unexpired terms ending June 30, 2025. There were no objections.
Deputy City Clerk/Records Manager Dominguez then announced that nominations were in order for the Planning Commission and requested each Council member select one candidate from the list of applicants interviewed.

Deputy City Clerk/Records Manager Dominguez announced that Brian Faber received a majority of the nomination votes and is therefore appointed to fill the vacancy in the Planning Commission for an unexpired term ending June 30, 2025.
Mayor Davis thanked applicants and congratulated the newly appointed Commissioners.
