January 13, 2022 Re: Agenda Item B5 Consent Calendar Ordinance for SB 9 Lot Splits and Residential Projects in Single Family Residential (RS) Zone District ( Case No. 21-0006-ORD) From: Ingeborg Cox MD,MPH The Notice of the City Council Public Hearing regarding “Extension of Urgency Ordinance No.21-12U, An Urgency Ordinance to Regulate SB9 Lot Splits and Residential Projects in the Single-Family Residential (RS) Zone District Case No. 21-0006-ORD sent to residents in January 2022 has the wrong date. The date stated for the hearing is January 18, 2021. The Notice placed in The Independent also has the same date of January 18, 2021 for the public hearing. The notice clearly has the wrong year and because of it, it may have been disregarded by readers. The public deserves correct information and mistakes must be corrected. Case No. 21-0006- ORD in my opinion needs to be resent to the residents with the correct year of the meeting. Staff is recommending to conduct a second reading ( by title only, waiving further reading) and adopt the Ordinance that will amend Titles 5,16 and 17 of the Goleta Municipal Code. And Ordinance for SB 9 Lot Splits and Residential Projects in Single-Family Residential (RS) Zone District ( Case No. 21-0006-ORD), and Determining the Ordinance to be Exempt from CEQA” But page two states, “The City Council must conduct a second reading of the regular Ordinance prior to the Ordinance going into effect”. This item belongs in the regular Agenda not in the Consent Calendar. Once the date is corrected. Please pull the Item from the Consent Calendar City Council Meeting for January 18, 2022 Agenda Item B5.
