Hello Mayor Perotte,
I don't know if you remember me but I spoke to you at the Goleta Farmers Market awhile back about this sidewalk issue.
I am concerned about the absence of side walks from the end of the Bluffs to Haskell's Beach parking lot on the ocean side of the road.
This way is frequent;y walked by Goleta locals at the west end of the city. At the present time it is a very dangerous walk due to the lack of a sidewalk.
With the current project submitted by Ty Warner, it is a perfect opportunity to require that a sidewalk be put on from the Bluffs to the end of golf course property he owns on Hollister up to where it meets the Venoco property. At least part the the walk to Haskell's will be safer and the Bacara may follow suit in time to extend the sidewalk on their property to Haskell's parking lot.
Please take this opportunity to make Goleta a safer place for pedestrians!
Thank you,
Joyce Gauvain
