Dear Goleta City Council,
I do not live in the City of Goleta. I live in Santa Barbara, in Mission Canyon.

Please save, renovate and use the Stow Grove cottage for essential worker housing, in this case park caretaker.

You will have worker housing that you know will be affordable as you can control the rents.

Renovating the little house will cost less than building new.

Renovation should never be compared to destroying a building as destruction will likely be less expensive in nearly all cases.

Please save the park caretaker cottage and use it for that.

Some of your community members are suggesting that with excellent reasons why.

Using the cottage is the sensible and morally correct thing to do.

Sincerely yours,
Paulina Conn
Mission Canyon resident
(Some of us in Mission Canyon are trying to have our saved, empty, cottage in Rocky Nook County Park used again for park caretaker housing)

To whom it may concern:

I think the REHAB of the Caretakers Cottage would be a perfect opportunity for kids in H.

S., shop classes ,.who wish to learn about building construction, ie: electrical, plumbing, framing, etc. a unique opportunity to learn by a "hands on approach"

It would be put to a better use, other than filling up dump trucks and taking it to a landfill.

Especially in light of limited public funds, the savings will be substantial. Your attention to the suggestion appreaciated.

Respectfully,

Jeff Ross
