13 © 2023 Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP www.bhfs.com | 14 Fire Protection Plan Analysis of the Project
• California has the strictest regulations for homes built in the Wildland- Urban Interface (WUI).
• WUI fire regulations are a balance between the right to develop and public interest in reducing wildfire risk.
• Two questions Resolute analyzed:

1. Does the Project comply with the intent of all fire regulations and best management practices to ensure the highest level of safety for the new residences?
• The determination is that the homes are designed to have the highest compliance methods to meet the fire regulations to protect the occupants, the structure and the property.

2. Does the Project impact or harm the safety of the community? There is no determinable fire safety impact to the community by building this project. The homes may even add to the community resilience by acting as a barrier to the spread of fire. This project when built will have the most fire resistive homes in the community and could serve as demonstration homes for the community to see how they could harden their homes. © 2023 Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP www.bhfs.com | 15
