SUBJECT: Community Development Activity Report Nov-Dec 2021
1. DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS CURRENTLY BEING PROCESSED
Six (6) applications are under administrative process/procedure by the Building Department: (1) new laundromat construction proposed to replace existing structure at 28 Fourth Street; (2) single-family residence remodel to add a second story; (3) two additions to single-family residence (city plan permit); (4) construction of new garage (residential); (5) Salad Bowl Boxing (Private Sports Club) at 32B Fourth Street set for review by Planning Commission; and (6) new hotel contraction proposed for vacant property located at 34 & 51 Fourth Street.
In terms of previous report on further development(s) associated with development of three (3) residential lots located on Venice Way, staff has determined negotiations have been suspended with developer until further notice.
2. GENERAL PLAN IMPLEMENTATION
City staff continues to work with Pembrook Development Group and Jackson Family Investments on SOI development project(s).
3. APPROVED PROJECTS AND THEIR CURRENT STATUS
No new information.
4. OTHER ACTIVITIES
Gonzales Electric Authority - Microgrid. The Microgrid Initial Study 30-day public review period ended on November 19, 2021. This project will be presented to the Planning Commission for their review at a special meeting set for Monday, January 24, 2022.
