For their action projects they have decided to focus on 1. Mental Health, 2. Pedestrian Safety and 3. Teen Innovation Center/Community Center. They plan to dive deeper into the issues of mental health and pedestrian safety in 2022.
2. During their meetings in December, the GYC decided they wanted to compete in the City’s Tree decorating contest. They planned what they wanted to do, got the decorations and put their plan into action. They worked collaboratively to decorate their tree and ended up having the winning tree.
3. The GYC was also instrumental in helping during the Downtown Holiday Lights Celebration. They helped run the carnival games and helped make sure people were having a great time.
