RESOLUTION NO. 2022-12
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES AWARDING THE “CITY HALL & POLICE DEPARTMENT GENERATOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT” TO
ALLTECH SERVICES, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH ALLTECH SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF $175,000 WHICH INCLUDES A CONTINGENCY BUDGET OF $17,775 FOR UNANTICIPATED
FIELD CHANGES
WHEREAS, the City issued the “City Hall & Police Department Generator Replacement Project” public bid on December 17, 2021; and WHEREAS, on January 27, 2022, the City received three bids for the Project, as follows:

WHEREAS, City staff and Tom Pinkerton of Fehr Engineering reviewed the bids and determined that the lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by Alltech Services; and
WHEREAS funding for the “City Hall & Police Department Generator Replacement Project” is from the $150,000 Grant received from California Office of Emergency Services and the Sewer Impact funds.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Gonzales that Alltech Services submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid for work associated with the City Hall & Police Department Generator Replacement Project, that the City accepts Alltech Services bid and that the construction contract is hereby awarded to Alltech Services and All other bids are rejected, and the City Manager is directed to notify all other bidders in writing of the City’s decision.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized and further directed to prepare and execute an appropriate contract with Alltech Services in the amount of $157,225 and establish a contingency budget of $17,775 for unanticipated field changes.
