SUBJECT: Recreation Department Activity Report
Current Activities
1. Our Kid Power Afterschool Program came back excited from winter break and ready to learn. The program currently has 49 registered. We will be having Spring Camp coming up in April and registration for that camp with start in March. Advertisement for it will go out soon and parents can register their children through the Team Sideline website.
2. The City Basketball league has been going strong. There are approximately 120 kids registered this season. Practices are during the week and games are played on Saturdays. The kids are all excited to be back playing and we continue to adhere to all COVID-19 safety protocols. If someone tested positive or has been exposed, we offer them a test before coming back and playing. This has kept the rest of their teammates and coaches safe. Parents have been very cooperative with everything, and the season has been running smoothly.
