T-MOBILE + PUBLIC SAFETY AGENCIES | NETWORK AND SOLUTIONS T-Mobile provides Network priority access
and preemption to first responder agencies
enrolled in the DHS Wireless Priority Service.

End-to-end prioritization
Using WPS by dialing #272 or the GETS/WPS app assures
end-to-end prioritization, regardless of carrier termination.

How it works:

In an emergency, the network may become
severely congested and 100% occupied.

To ensure that first responders with WPS
can access our network, we move them to
the front of the line. If necessary, we drop
a customer without WPS off the network.

Priority access
First responder with WPS gets
moved to the front of the
communication line.

Preemption
T-Mobile customers without WPS are dropped off the network to make room for the first responder with WPS (or a WPS subscriber).
