A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO PATRICK DOBBINS
WHEREAS, the City of Gonzales is currently in the process of recruiting a new City Manager and is operating under the temporary guidance and authority of Interim City Manager Carmen Gil: and
WHEREAS, Interim City Manager Gil was compelled to take a planned leave of absence earlier than anticipated and as such, the Council had to call upon current Public Works Director/City Engineer Patrick Dobbins to step into the position of Acting City Manager on an expedited basis; and
WHEREAS, Patrick proved to be more than capable in assuming Acting City Manager duties, which included getting up to speed on a wide variety of issues, representing the City at numerous meetings with developers, consultants and members of the public, and overseeing and running City Council meetings, all during an election period and while continuing to meet his regular Public Works/Engineer responsibilities.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Gonzales that the Council wishes to express its gratitude to Patrick Dobbins for his stellar stint as Acting City Manager. The Council is appreciative of his efforts and dedication to the wellbeing of the Gonzales Community! PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Gonzales at a regular meeting duly held on the 21st day of November, 2022 by the following vote:
