According to the CEQA/NEPA documents prepared for the Community Center Complex Project, the trees on the site should be removed between September 15 and January 15 to minimize impacts to bats and nesting birds.
Tree removal is the first field activity for site preparation for the project. New trees and landscaping will be planted during construction of the various buildings that make up the Community Center Complex Project.
On August 25, City staff issued the bid document for the Tree Removal Contract at the Community Center Project Site. On September 21, City staff opened bids from the nine contractors and the award of contract to Topes Tree Service was approved at the October 3, 2022 Council Meeting.
