RESOLUTION NO. 2022-84
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES
ACCEPTING THE TREE REMOVAL CONTRACT AT THE COMMUNITY
CENTER PROJECT SITE AS COMPLETE, AUTHORIZE STAFF TO RECORD
A NOTICE OF COMPLETION, AND RELEASE RETENTION MONIES TO THE
CONTRACTOR
WHEREAS, staff issued bid documents for the Tree Removal Contract at the Community Center Site on August 25, 2022; and;
WHEREAS, on September 21, 2022 the city received nine bids for this contract; and;
WHEREAS, at the October 3, 2022 City Council Meeting, a $90,000 contract with Topes Tree Service was authorized; and
WHEREAS, Topes Tree Service began field operations on November 1, 2022 and completed all punch list items on November 23, 2022; NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Gonzales that the Tree Removal Contract at the Community Center Site is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that within ten days of adoption of this Resolution, City staff shall file with the County Recorder a Notice of Completion and release retention monies to the Contractor.
