RESOLUTION NO. 2023-30
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT FOR SMALL GOVERNMENTS WITH ESRI AT AN ANNUAL COST OF $15,500 FOR
GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM MAPPING SOFTWARE
WHEREAS, at the April 6, 2020 meeting, the City Council authorized a three year agreement with ESRI for a new Geographic Information System (GIS); and WHEREAS, over the last three years, public works staff has created over 30 GIS maps; and
WHEREAS, ESRI is a world-wide company that supplies and supports GIS software and applications with approximately 45% of the GIS market; and WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Council authorize execution of an Enterprise Agreement for Small Governments with ESRI for continued use of GIS Mapping software; and WHEREAS, the annual $15,500 cost will be funded by $7,750 from the Water Enterprise Fund, $7,750 from the Sewer Enterprise Fund.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Gonzales hereby authorizes a three year contract with ESRI for GIS Mapping software.
