A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACTS WITH 4LEAF CONSULTING FOR BUILDING DEPARTMENT SERVICES AND FOR PLAN
REVIEW AND INSPECTION SERVICES
FOR THE COMMUNITY CENTER COMPLEX PROJECT
WHEREAS, City staff issued separate Request for Proposals for Contract Building Official duties including Plan Review and Building Inspection Services and for Building Code Review and Inspection Services for the Community Center Complex Project; and WHEREAS, the city received proposals from five firms and shortlisted three firms (CSG, Bureau Veritas and 4Leaf Consulting) for an interview on April 27, 2023; and WHEREAS, the selection panel unanimously selected 4Leaf Consulting as the highest ranked team based on their proposals and interview; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council authorize execution of the following contracts with 4Leaf Consulting:
• An agreement for the Building Department Services including contract Building Official duties. The agreement is for a not-to-exceed amount of $150,000 per year with an initial term of three years with an option to extend it an additional two years. • An agreement for Plan Review and Inspection Services on the Community Center Complex Project. Plan review services are estimated to be $75,000 for Phases 1 and 2 and inspection services for Phase 1 of the Community Center Complex Project is estimated to be $275,000.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Gonzales that the City Manager is authorized to execute the above-mentioned consulting contracts with 4Leaf Consulting.
