RESOLUTION NO. 2023-68
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES
ESTABLISHING AN ADDITIONAL PUBLIC WORKS LEAD WORKER POSITION
FOCUSED ON UTILITIES, AND ADDING IT TO THE ORGANIZATIONAL CHART WHEREAS, in preparation for the Wastewater expansion there is a need to establish an adequate level of staffing for the new and existing plant; and WHEREAS, establishing an additional Lead Worker position with a special focus on utilities will allow for a better transition to the utility arm of the Public Works Department, and will allow for specialization and better attention to utilities; and WHEREAS, with the ever-changing requirements and more stringent records and reporting being imposed on us, utilities are requiring more attention; and WHEREAS, establishing specialization between the current Lead Worker, who will be focused on streets, parks, and buildings, and the new one which will be focused on utilities, the Public Works Department will be able to enhance its performance by allowing for more clear processes and accountability.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gonzales hereby Approves the job description attached as Exhibit A for Public Works Lead Worker specializing in utilities and supports its addition to the City’s organizational Chart.
